What We Believe
We believe in one God. We believe the Bible is a letter He wrote to us. We believe He actually died, so we could truly live. We believe a new birth starts a real relationship with God. We believe God loves everyone. We believe a new day, a new birth, a new life can be yours today.
Starting with a single family, we have grown to become a spiritual center for many homes throughout Greater Hartford! An incredible journey that began at the YMCA on Main Street, East Hartford in July 1984 has led us to sharing the beautiful campus at 110 Ellington Road with Wesley Memorial (UMC) today. A great diversity of individuals continue to grow, united in our desire to reflect Jesus Christ in our everyday lives!
Life at The Pentecostals is a rich, fulfilling experience! Opportunities abound to build lifelong friendships with other believers. As a spiritual center for life, we are devoted to the development of every individual's gifts and calling. Many leaders have been mentored and ministries birthed by serving on a team coupled with the courses available for spiritual development.
Throughout the year additional events supplement our regular schedule that highlight the diverse ministries of The Pentecostals. One of those events is our annual leadership conference, WinterFire! WinterFire is the largest annual gathering in New England of apostolic believers. This conference for church ministry teams began at The Pentecostals in February 2001. Every February over 2,000 leaders unite to be impacted by the Spirit and Word of God!Learn more about us
